Our many years of development and project experience have resulted in the Xbrick® multifunctional piece of furniture, which we manufacture and distribute ourselves and market through our international network and our online store.

We are looking to strengthen our team with immediate effect:

Technical Product Designer | Design Engineer (full-time)
for wd3 GmbH

Your tasks:

  • Development, design and construction of products for us (Xbrick®) and our customers in the areas of furniture, office, interior design, temporary architecture incl. detailed design, creation of drawings, data and documents as well as support in prototyping.
  • Independent and autonomous coordination of development projects in direct coordination with internal departments and external partners (design offices, suppliers and other cooperation partners)
  • Implementation of product maintenance and optimization measures
  • Support with custom-made products and project planning
  • Design of simple office plans, exhibition stands, showrooms, etc. (incl. CAD planning and visualization)
  • Preparation of product and sales documentation and presentation documents
  • Support for product management and marketing, e.g. for photo shoots of developed products etc.

 

Your qualification:

  • Degree in wood technology (focus on furniture construction) / interior design or product design with a focus on design + development / construction
  • Alternatively carpenter (master craftsman) / wood technician with several years of experience in furniture construction or other relevant professional experience
  • Experience in the constructive development of products, ideally furniture
  • Experience in the coordination of development projects
  • Safe handling of 3D planning tools (ideally Solidworks, pcon-planner, AutoCAD)
  • Knowledge of 3D visualization
  • Basic knowledge of DTP (Indesign)
  • A feeling for layout + design
  • creativity
  • Communication skills, openness, flexibility
  • Independent working style, solution and team orientation
