Sitting, along with crouching, kneeling or lying down, has been a natural resting position since the dawn of humanity. Our sitting behavior has undergone a fascinating development over the course of history. If we take a look at the history of seating furniture, we see that chairs were already considered a status symbol for kings and aristocrats in ancient times.
